| Summer is finally here, lots of pictures to take and moments to capture. Scrapbooking in the back yard, at the cottage or while camping are great ways to spend those lazy summer days. Call for an appointment to shop or book a class, I'm off all summer, day or night!! The big news for this season is I am looking for a design team. There just aren’t enough hours in the day for me to create everything I would like. So I am looking for design team members to design projects, cards, and layouts throughout the year. The best part is the design team will get some new scrapbooking products for free. So if you have a little extra time, love scrapbooking, and would like be on the team, submit 3 or 4 of your best pages, cards or projects. As well as the layouts, please submit a short summary telling me a little about yourself, and why you think you should be on the design team. The due date for the design team call is August 31st, so plenty of time to submit all your great work. Always wanted to stop by my shop/studio and haven’t, well now is your chance. Come to my Open House/Customer Appreciation Event on Friday July 20 from 7PM to 9PM or Saturday, July 21 from 1 PM to 3PM.Come see class examples, try tools and Gel-A-Tins stamps. There will be a free make and take project to make and take home, door prizes, free magazine, and snacks. Regular customers are invited to stop in as well, bring a new guest and get a surprise. Lots of new products are here in just in time for summer. All the new Gel-A-tins stamps are here including the NHL stamps. Lots of fun with these stamps and NHL paper during the playoffs. These stamps have become quickly become my favourite product, if you haven’t tried them yet let me know next time you stop by. New items from AMM, Colourbox, Fancy Pants, American Crafts, Paper Salon, Kaiser, Sakura, 3 Bugs In A Rug, and many more. The summer contest kits are now available and pages aren’t due until August 31st, so you have the whole summer to get a project completed. Check the web site for pictures of the winning pages. With every purchase or class you get an entry into the monthly draw. Draw winners for last season were Tammy Armstrong, Ashley Van Adrichmen, Corry Henry and Lorraine Brown. Classes this season include altered journal, clock and clip board Also this season offered will be K and Co. Tabbed album, Basic Grey Mini album class, CD album and Scrapbook in a box. New this season , I will be offering some mini technique workshops this summer as well for only $10 . Some of the techniques during the mini classes will be: learning heat embossing, dry embossing, learn the many uses of the Crop-a-dile tool, and learn all about the Gel-A- Tins Stamps. You will get a project to take home from all the mini classes. Have a technique or tool you want to learn, ask me to do a mini class for you. Summer means holidays and I will be off for holidays from August 4 to August 19. If you would like me to open up the shop during the day in July or August give me a call, I will also open up on evenings or weekends just call or email to arrange a time. If you are a web shopper I will ship and sometimes deliver your order. Remember you can schedule whatever class you like with your own group at your convenience kids, teen, or senior classes are welcome. Don’t forget I will do scrapbooking or other paper crafting parties such as : birthday, bridal or baby shower. All products and prices are available online on my web site. On the web site you can have me create your own scrapbooking gallery, a great way to share pages with family and friends. Online you can also view class examples , book classes, see monthly specials, and tons more. The summer 2007 edition of the Canadian Scrapbooker is here late May, don’t forget to have a look at this amazing all Canadian publication. Other “gently used” magazines are available to purchase for only $1.00 a sure way to jump start the creative process. You can always browse all the latest magazines any Thursday or Friday night at drop in. I’m looking forward to seeing all the design team entries and contest pages.
