Many exciting classes coming up. I have finally found a great teacher for the DSLR photography classes everyone has been requesting. Please email me asap if you are interested, details are on the schedule attached. These will be beginners classes to start, if you are like me and can only use auto on your nice camera this will be for you. We’ll be having advanced and specialty classes as well. Please email me what you’d like to learn, & what interests you, you need to bring your camera to classes. Please have a look at the calendar for several other great classes this fall Including : Intro to Copics, Glimmer Mist techniques, advanced paper crafting techniques, Fall Mini Album & more.
Events this season include some great classes as well as many fundraising crops in several different locations. I am sure one of the crops will be close to your location, please join me to raise money for some great causes and have a fun day out. The studio is closed the day of these crops but you can come shop at the crop & help raise funds that way. There are still spaces available, ask me for more information. It’s a great way to meet new scrapbooking friends in your area and help out some great causes.
CHA new products are starting to arrive, all the new releases will be pouring in over the next several weeks. Be sure to check out the new smash books they are all the rage, and make a great gift, especially for teens. If you are not a Face Book fan this is the place to get the scoop latest products. You can even get me to save what you want. I am expecting products from: Bella BLVD, Basic Grey, Fancy Pants, Imaginisce, Copic, Tattered Angles, Echo park, Jillibean Soup, Prima, Imaginisce, My Little Shoe Box, Simple Stories, Crate paper, October Afternoon, Bo Bunny, Tattered Angels, Ranger/Tim Holtz, Little Yellow Bicycle & tons more.
I am accepting applications for Design Team members and teachers, I am sad to be saying goodbye to designers Jill , Lori, and Linda. We all loved your projects, good luck on your future crafty adventures. Applications are due September 30th for designers and teachers. I am looking for local designers/teachers who can do a variety of projects, blog & Face Book, and can submit digitally as well as in person. The designers do as much or as little as they want, we are a pretty laid back group. Please ask me for more information, I am looking for a variety of levels this year as well as card makers, altered art artists, home décor, Copic artists, as well as beginner and advanced paper crafters. If you have applied before I welcome your application again.
Drop in continues for my open hours this Fall. For a $3.00 drop in fee or $30/year membership you can use the studio any time I am open. You can use all my tools, stamps, die cutters etc and there is a great scrap bin with tons of goodies. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult. If you are a group of 4 or more please let me know you are coming so I can ensure enough space.
Want to book your own event or class? I will continue to book events, classes, crops & parties. I need a lot of advanced notice for these events I am very busy with bookings. If you have 4 or more people you can book your event, class or party at your convenience. I do group events, crops, fundraisers, will be a vendor at your event, classes for seniors or children as well.
Please remember to bring your own bag when you come to the studio. I recycle bags and will gladly take your unwanted bags with no advertising. Please bring your canvas grocery bags when you visit, the size is perfect for scrapbooking items.
The new Fall issue of The Canadian Scrapbooker should arrive early September. Scrapbook & Cards Today will arrive late September. Both these Canadian magazines are sold out quickly so when you see that they have arrived please stop by the studio as soon as possible.
Copic markers have been a huge hit, please let me know if you need a specific colour or set and I will order it for you. The makers have been selling extremely well and I am finding it hard to keep them in stock. Due to the popularity of these markers I am now carrying rubber stamps, everyone is looking for images to colour, so much fun!! I carry over 100 sketch colours and will order refills for you as well.
Be sure to check out the 25 and 50 cent paper bins, as well as the 40% off discount bin, there are always new goodies being added every week. There is always a coupon on the hard copy of this newsletter, this season it is for 25% off any item.
Please be sure to stop in to pick up your Fall kit & vote for the Spring/summer projects. The kit is only $10 and it’s a surprise. I always try to new papers that are not on the shelves for my kits. You create a project using a little bit of everything in the kit and I post them up in the studio. Feel free to make a mini album, cards, or scrapbooking pages, the more creative the better. Studio visitors vote for their favourite & the winner wins a $20 gift certificate.

Only $95.00 Learn the basics of your DSLR Camera if you are like me and have a great camera and only shoot in the auto mode, this class is for you. This is a 3 part class, with two in studio lessons and the last lesson will be a hands on excursion outdoors ( weather permitting), to practice what you’ve learned and get hands on assistance. Please bring your fully charged camera, empty memory card, and notebooks. Limit 10 people, advanced registration and payment required.

There are still spaces available for the die cutting 101 class, Monday, June 20th, 7:30pm, $20. During this class we will make several cards & a couple other projects and learn the basics of the cricut machine, Ecraft machine, Cuttlebug cutting and embossing dies, as well as spellbinder & Sizzix.

Be sure to pick up your customers survey, you can win a basket of scrapbooking goodies worth over $100, surveys aren’t due until July 31,2011. The survey is very important as it will be helping plan upcoming changes to studio hours and classes.

Please note summer hours form July & August are Wednesday and Thursdays 1pm to 9pm. My holiday will be in July this year, dates to come soon.
I am already getting some Design team applications in. If you are interested in joining the design team please send me a short bio & email about why you would like to join. Also send me some of your favourite projects. I am only looking for local designers, who have a blog, participate in social media, and who can submit projects electronically. You have until the end of September to submit applications. If you have already applied please don’t be discouraged and apply again, i get a lot of applications & this year might be your chance as I am looking for different levels of designers who do a variety of different paper crafts.
I have just added hundreds of papers to the 25 and 50 cent paper bins. there are some new Disney papers in the 50 cent bin. I have also added many more items into the 40% off discount bin & will be adding more in the coming weeks.

Wishing you are your family a Happy Holiday season , and hope you have a wonderful year ahead. Once again I thank you for your business in 2010. As a small business I am continuing to try to stay open despite all of the “big box” stores that continue to appear all around me. Your support has allowed me to stay open and offer you a service that I love doing.
The colder weather is here, great time to be warm inside and get some scrapbooking done. As usual a lot happening in the studio this season. Please note that there are several closures as I continue to juggle time with my family, the children’s hockey & skating, and my other jobs. Please check the website, Face book, or call to be sure I am open. I always try to post closure dates well in advance. Due to missing most family events over the last couple of years I have made it a priority not to miss them this year. Please call first if you plan to visit the studio on a Saturday, during the winter season I will be closing for hockey and skating when the need arises. If you are unable to come during business hours please ask me to make other arrangements or make an appointment to shop., I will always try my best to accommodate you.

Here’s hoping October has better weather than September did. Still lots happening in the studio this month and tons of product , I can hardly keep up with it all. Stay tuned next week for a design team announcement and hopefully another exciting announcement.
I have added another Copic marker techniques class on Tuesday October 12th, 7:30pm, only $20 plus HST. All the copic basics in 2 hours a great class if you want to see what these markers are all about.

Well my vacation is over and back to work, a big reality check. I love the hot weather & am really sad to see it go. Saturday, November 13 – 9:00 am to 9pm Gems fundraising crop, Dixons corners community centre (old Dixons school), come join me at the gems crop, only 40$ if you pre-register, $50 at the door, all money goes towards building a school in Africa, I’ll be there cropping all day, with supplies for sale as well, contact me for more info. Studio is closed that day come shop at the crop a % of my sales goes to the cause!!
Monday, November 22 7:30pm –10:00pm Christmas card making class, come learn some new techniques and make several Christmas cards, class is great for all levels. $25 plus HST
November 30th Fall kits are due, new winter kits are available.
* Unless otherwise indicated, all class supplies included. Please bring your 12 inch trimmers, adhesives and other tools to classes when possible. Classes do not include taxes. You can book your own class, event, or Birthday party with your own group, contact me for more information.

Hope all of you are having a great summer, not sure where July went but it’s gone!! I am only open for a few days in August & a special someone is turning 40 this month so I am having some 40% off specials for August.
Remember I am on Holidays from August 9th to 22nd, & closed August 26th ( I decided to take my Birthday off this year).

Design team Applications are due September 30th. I have already gotten some great applications, if you want to design for my studio email me for more information. Local applicants only ( less then 2 hours away), looking for applicants that do a variety of crafting, have a blog and are able to submit projects digitally as well as drop off items.
New products are still puring in, the CHA new items will be arriving in soon as well.I am currently working on CHA pre-orders if you want a particualr item let me know. I am submitting orders this week for Basic Grey, Tim Holtz dies & items, as well as new Spellbinders, email me your list asap. I am also submitting another Krafting Kimmie stamp order, get your requests in!!

I will be having 2 Stamping up parties this month here in the studio, there are a couple of spaces left, these classes are with Stamping up rep. Maggie Patterson. We will be making cards, having snacks, & best of all it’s free!! Please eamil me if you want to attend, 7PM on Aug 23rd or 24th, I get to sit in on these classes & can’t wait!!

2 hour Copic marker basics class, learn all you need to start working with Copic markers. This is a techniques class we will not be making a project but learning, trying the markers, as well as the air brush system.
The class is only $20.00 all supplies included but you can bring your own markers if you would like to have more colour selection, please label your markers if you decide to bring them.

So Much happening in the studio in June and so much new product, I can hardly keep up.
There are still spaces for the card making class on Tuesday, June 8, 7:30pm to 9:30pm, for only $20, you can learn the basics of several new kinds of punches, as well as the Cuttlebug and Spellbinders dies. You’ll make several cards, everything is supplied!!
June is Glimmer Mist month. Stop by anytime during the month of June to try the Glimmer Mist sprays and screens. If you’ve ever wanted to try this amazing product now is your chance. I am giving everyone a free tip/technique sheet as well. For the month of June you can buy 2 Glimmer Mists and get one free!

Copic marker basic techniques classes are coming soon, make sure you let me know if you are interested, there is a lot of people already on the list. I hope to have one in June, just waiting for more markers to arrive!!
I order every 2 weeks, if you need something I will try my best to find it. I will hold it for you until you can get here, or ship within Canada!! I carry products from over 70 companies!!
I am expecting a ton of new papers in the next week as well, I am getting the entire Pedal pushers and Sunkissed lines from Bo Bunny, lots of new goodies, stay tuned!!
